If you’d asked me a year ago if I would be watching Lucifer season 4 — much less if I’d be so inspired as to need to write something about it — I would have called you crazy. In fact, after a messy third season, when the series looked like it was doomed for cancellation, I actively called for it to be sent straight to Hell. And then FOX did exactly that, making me wonder if I’d ever be able to repent for my sins against the hottest devil that ever deviled. As we know, though, Netflix saved Lucifer. Thank Hades.
For a show to be reborn in this way, for the new season to be better than ever, is no small feat. But that’s what Lucifer season 4 has done. Besides being completely overwhelmed by just how well-done the shorter, bingeable season was, I couldn’t get one thing out of my mind: Despite all the series has overcome, the message that Lucifer‘s fourth season sends about self-acceptance is far more powerful than all of its previous struggles combined.
It might just even be more powerful than the Devil Himself.

Every year, early May is a stressful time for TV fans. If your favorite show ended up on the bubble, this is the time when the anxiety sets in. You’re waiting on pins and needles to hear if your show has been renewed and will live on to see another season.
This year, there are a lot of series on the bubble. Some deserve to be there after a shitty season, but some of them still have us scratching our heads in confusion as to how they ended up there at all — yes, we’re talking about Timeless.
So, we gathered a few writers and TV fans to discuss which shows deserve to die a painful death and which ones absolutely need another season, lest we be the ones who might die of a broken heart.

Choosing which TV show to watch these days is a really tough task. With so many options and ways to watch a show — with Netflix, Hulu, Network apps and the good old fashioned TV — it’s hard to tell which show is really worth your time and energy.
Because of that, some really good shows sometimes get completely overlooked, and we end up missing out on some great entertainment. FOX’s Lucifer is one of those shows. I only caught up with it this summer — just in time for season 3 — and I don’t regret a single second of it.

This week’s Lucifer was everything I absolutely love about this show. As much as I loved last week’s Maze standalone episode, “What Would Lucifer Do?” moved the season arc along and brought us some pretty incredible moments for all characters.

After a hellish summer hiatus, our favorite devil is finally back on our screens. Lucifer season 3 premiered last night, and it was honestly like they had never even left. “They’re Back, Aren’t They?” brought back everything that made me fall in love with this show this past summer, and it felt like everyone was on top of their game.

Just like when our teachers used to make us write about our summer vacations for the first day of school, we’re ready to fill our readers in on what we binge watched on our summer hiatus.
Once upon a time, summer hiatus was a death sentence. There was basically nothing on television, so the best you could hope for was a rewatch of your favorite show — in totally out-of-sequence reruns — or a chance to dig through the available rentals at Blockbuster. These days, we have Netflix and Hulu, dvr and full seasons of our favorite series to keep us company. And that’s between all mid-season and summer series that keep summer hiatus from really being a hiatus at all.
Summer hiatus is definitely the best time to binge watch a new series or relive our favorite moments from an old one, though, so read on to see some of our top picks.
